[Trending Now] Most Emotional and Heartbreaking Scene in MMK Feb. 25 Episode 'Ligaw Na Trahedya'

Maalaala Mo Kaya’s Feb. 25 episode titled “Ligaw na Trahedya” became popular among viewers as it tackled the current issues surrounding the Duterte administration’s War on Drugs. 

Specifically, it’s the story of how a family coped with the loss of their youngest son, who perished after being hit by a stray bullet during a drug bust gone wrong.

Angel Aquino, Jhong Hilario and Yñigo Delen are among the lead stars in this MMK episode.

“Ligaw na Trahedya” is the story of Ninin, a 7-year-old boy who is unshaken by the violence and the struggles of his run-down neighborhood. He maintained a positive outlook on life and was inspired by his father Isong, a barangay tanod.

While Ninin idolized his father’s bravery in catching criminals, his mother Marilou was afraid for her husband as he constantly faces danger.

Unfortunately, they have no other means of earning money, so instead, they try their best to support each other.

Tragedy struck however during a police operation that involved Ninin. A stray bullet hit Ninin and he died. 

This leaves his family full of grief.

It’s a rather unfortunate thing to happen to such a nice family, especially when such violence has become a common part our daily lives.
