[Trending Now] Mabalacat Mayor Denies That He Is Not A 'Protector'; Faces Investigation To Clear Out His Name!

After being named as one of the government officials who are involved in the illegal trade and protection of drugs in the country, Mabalacat City Mayor Marino Morales claims that he already reached out to the authorities to clear out his name from the list of the president. 

He said that it was 'unfortunate' that President Duterte included his named in one of the 8 Luzon mayors who are involved in the illegal drug trade. 

"I am not a protector of illegal drug (syndicates)," the Mabalacat City Mayor said. "I am willing to undergo any investigation to prove my innocence para naman ma-proteksiyonan natin ang integrity of my family, myself, and the people who had trusted me and voted for me for the past years.”

Morales then said that he is also war against the illegal drug trade. "I will cooperate with any investigation or inquiry in order to clear my name and my family."

He already reported to the Department of Interior and Local Government Director Rita Gotiangco and to the Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda. 

“Asahan po ninyo mahal na pangulo na kasama ninyo ako na lalaban sa illegal drugs at pupunta po kami sa inyo upang ma-explain namin sa inyo na ako po ay walang koneksiyon o hindi po ako protector ng illegal drugs dito sa ating bayan. Matagal na po nating nilalabanan ito,” Morales said.
