We imitate the appearance of local celebrities simply because they have looks worthy of coveting. But not all of them were born with gorgeous locks and perfect skin. Some celebs went under the knife while some blossomed naturally due to puberty. 

Let’s check out what some of our favorite stars looked like before their fame started:

1. Angeline Quinto

Before Angeline Quinto won first place in the talent search Star Power in 2011, she looked as plain as day. The singer admitted though that she has undergone surgery to fix her teeth but she denies allegations of having rhinoplasty. 

2. Sarah Lahbati

Sarah Lahbati is considered one of the celebrity industry’s hottest moms. Once a teeny bopper, Sarah has now become a gorgeous goddess thanks to her weight loss and cosmetics. 

3. KZ Tandingan

As the winner of X-Factor Philippines, KZ went from being a shy contestant to a feisty performer. The change in her hair do and make-up style mainly contributed to her overall appearance. 

4. Alodia Gosiengfiao

Puberty hit Alodia hard because she looks way different now than she did before. Pre cosplaying, Alodia looked like your average teenage school girl. Participating in cosplay definitely made her a smoking hot young lady. 

5. Kim Chiu

The PBB Teen edition winner looked like the typical teenager when she first joined the reality show. Branded as the “Chinita Princess”, Kim looks like a princess no more as she transformed into a beautiful queen. Though people kept on accusing her of having nose surgery, Kim just said that puberty is to be blamed for the change in her appearance.

6. Erich Gonzales

Erich first went into showbiz at 14 years or age when she decided to join Star Circle Quest. As a young woman, we could already see how beautiful she was. She became even more beautiful as she grew older. She recently broke up with her celebrity boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga. 

7. Vice Ganda

If you’re a fan of Vice Ganda, then you’ll know the story of his childhood. According to the comedian, he grew up in poverty and even shows off what he used to look like when he was a young boy. Thanks to make-up and a drastic change in his wardrobe and hairstyle, Vice Ganda is not the young boy he used to be anymore. 

8. Kris Bernal

If you  saw Kris Bernal a few years back, then you know that she had this angelic look on her face. She seemed to be a shy woman, dressing in modest clothing. At present though, Kris flaunts her gym body in her Instagram account showing off the body she worked hard to achieve. 

9. BB Gandanghari

When BB Gandanghari first appeared, she looked a bit masculine due to the fact that she just recently transitioned from being Rustom Padilla. Now, with her booming career in modeling, BB looks like the glamorous model everyone expects her to be. 

10. Arci Muñoz

Arci started off as a contestant in the third season of Starstruck back in 2005. Back then, Arci had a chubby physique and curly hair. When she transferred to ABS CBN, fans were shocked because they weren’t able to recognize her. Some even pointed out that she allegedly went through nose surgery.
