OFWs are called modern-day heroes, not only because of the sacrifices they are wiling to endure for the sake of their families. They are heroes because they are willing to give their everything -- even their lives- for the betterment of the lives of the people they love.
In this another sad OFW story, we see the story of Agnes Celestre Talavera from Negros Occidental who was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Shumaishi Hospital in Saudi Arabia.
Her story was first seen in a Facebook post by Rhain Asucro-Segunio. Her 'aunt' Agnes was supposedly comatose after a blood clot burst. After days of being comatosed, she miraculously woke up.
After waking up from comatose, she was scheduled to be transferred to another hospital, but her Arab employer allegedly held her passport, making her unable to transfer.
She died the same day after her surgery was done.
