Noven Belleza recently won the Tawag ng Tanghalan grand finals, making him the competition's first-ever grand champion.
His hair-raising rendition of Rico J. Puno and Erik Santos' May Bukas Pa clinched the victory for him. His performance was so good that Puno and Santos said it gave them goosebumps!
Noven, a humble rice-farmer from Negros Occidental, couldn't believe that he won the competition. He received PHP 150,000 as a reward for his championship win.
However, the exposure and experience he got from the incredibly popular competition is priceless.
"Kahit simpleng tao po ay puwedeng pong mangarap," he said emotionally.
