[Trending Now] Liberal Party On De Lima: She Deserves Support, Not Condemnation!

Liberal Party have finally spoke in defense of Senator Leila de Lima calling on the Senate President to vindicate the senator who is being slammed by the President for doing her job.

De Lima initiated the filing of an investigation on the extrajudicial killings of alleged drug suspects under the Duterte administration.

Duterte previously made a remark about De Lima calling her an immoral woman who is having affairs with her driver.

"Senator Leila de Lima is doing her job as a senator of the Republic," Liberal Party said in a statement that was sent to the media. "Nakakalungkot ang mga salita at mga pratang na naninira sa kaniyang pagkatao at bilang lingkod bayan."

The Liberal Party is asking for the senate leadership's help in supporting the senator despite their previous statement of standing "for a free and open debate for due process of law and respect and process of law and respect and civility in public disclosure."
