It’s hard to sell vegetables on a daily basis but it’s especially difficult to sell it when you are suffering from a disability. This is what Kuya George Belarmino has to endure every day of his life.
Kuya George is a disabled man who sells vegetables on his tricycle. He’s a resident of Tiaong, Quezon and his tricycle is customized to fit his reclined posture.
Unfortunately, his disability was exploited by robbers in 2014. The merciless men blocked his tricycle and stole his earnings for that particular day.
He was reportedly "beaten up so hard that the doctors said it was a miracle he managed to survive the attack! He spent days at the hospital; a huge blow to the family considering that selling vegetables is their primary source of income.”
His story quickly garnered attention on Facebook and netizens immediately offered to pay for his hospital bills through donations.
Because of the overwhelming amount of help he received, Kuya George was able to get back on track and rise up from the situation. He was even able to sell vegetables again.
Unfortunately, a group of men robbed his house in 2015.
