Criminals aren't known for their decency. They often choose the most inopportune time to strike, waiting for their victims to be defenseless and leaving them bewildered.
Recently, Filipinos all over the country went on a week-long holiday to observe the Holy Week. As expected though, criminals were still on the loose.
Two thieves were arrested in Caloocan City last Friday when they attempted to steal a girl’s phone.
According to a report from ABS-CBN, the victim, Martina Montalban, just came from the city jail to visit her father. On her way home, two men riding a motorcycle suddenly grabbed her phone which she was using during the incident.
She shouted for help as she chased the two men who quickly tried to escape.
However, the two suspects fell from their vehicle allowing bystanders to catch them.
Luckily, the victim was able to reclaim her phone.
The police report stated that the two thieves are named Romar Valenzuela Enot and Edjhen Malinay Gamboa. Both of them admitted to using drugs.
The two suspects have apparently been on the wanted list for quite some time due to their involvement in robbery and theft cases. Just last week, they were caught on CCTV stealing from someone along Samson Road in Barangay 53, Caloocan.
