The quest to find the person perfect for the iconic role of Darna seemed endless. Earlier this year, rumors about who should take over the mantle from Angel Locsin ran wild.
After prolonged debate and speculation, our very own Miss Universe 2015 Queen Pia Wurtzbach might finally be the one!
Last month, ABS-CBN network announced that Angel Locsin will no longer portray the iconic superheroine. This prompted netizens to offer their suggestions on who should replace her — and Pia consistently made the list.
On the Instagram account of Pia’s manager, Jonas Gaffud, a photo was uploaded on Wednesday showing Pia and ABS-CBN network executives. Fan speculation then started pointing to the possibility that the meeting might be about passing the Darna torch to Pia.
While not yet confirmed, this could be great news to Pia's fans!
