A guy earned praises from netizens after sharing a rather intriguing story on his Facebook account.

Pao Atienza shared a story about his ex-girlfriend. Contrary to the usual bitter stories about exes, he shared about a promise he fulfilled even after his breakup with his ex. 

According to him, he promised his ex-girlfriend that he would attend her graduation. Things got complicated for them and, for reasons he chose not to reveal, they parted ways. 

However, when Atienza found out about his ex's graduation, he decided to attend and fulfill his promise. 

He met his ex-girlfriend's family, whom he talked to while waiting for the ceremony to start. He then lined up with them when it was time for the graduates to march. 

When their eyes met, Atienza shared how he was genuinely happy for his ex, as he saw her beaming with joy over her achievement.

When the ceremony started, he was surprised to receive a text message from her, who quipped "san grad gift mo?" 

Atienza finished the whole program and even stayed to take pictures of her and her family. He then asked her for a picture, which she agreed to.

At the end of the post, he clarified that he is not in any way hoping that they will eventually get back together. He sincerely hoped for her happiness. 

He also shared how proud he is of himself, as he fulfilled a man's promise despite the circumstances.
