Facebook user Nicole Heintz shared with Facebook page ‘Love What Matters’ her encounter with a family who has been struggling. Through God’s divine grace, Nicole was able to do something that made a difference to both of their lives.
According to her, she was on her way to work when she decided to pass by a gas station to refill her own gas tank. She was surprised when he saw a middle-aged man crying in front of the pump. Unsure of what was happening, Nicole asked the man if she could help. It broke her heart when the man answered, “I can't even provide for my family’.
When Nicole took a glimpse of the man’s car, he saw a lady who she thought was the man’s wife and two other children cuddling each other in the backseat. Upon seeing the situation, Nicole did not think of anything else but she took her car and paid for the gas of the family.
What she did caught the lady’s attention and she went to see what was happening. Upon seeing what happened, she could not thank Nicole enough for the kind deed. Nicole then noticed that the lady was wearing nothing but stained and torn shirts. She once again felt the need to respond to what she was seeing.
Nicole then invited the lady to see the content of her trunk. According to her, an airport lost her luggage and she ended up cleaning out her closet to find some good old stuff to wear. She was about to give away the clothes she does not need anymore. It was fortunate that she encountered with this family. She let them choose what they want to wear from the various clothes she had in her trunk.
The little commotion then gathered the attention of many bystanders. They were all shocked when a handful of strangers then started to offer their own kind of help to this family. Nicole witnessed how God made such way possible for the family and for her to realize His presence.
