Snakes have the uncanny ability to swallow animals that are larger than them. They do this by dislocating their jaw, a horrific sight that makes their mouths seem much larger than normal.

In 2013, Epic Wildlife reported that two young boys, a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old, were swallowed by a python in their sleep in the town of Campbellton in New Brunswick, Canada.

In another incident, a student was also swallowed whole by a snake in Caracas Zoo, Venezuela. The snake was a ten-foot-long Burmese Python, one of the five largest species of snakes in the world.

According to the report, the 29-year-old biology student entered one of the snake cages. The student was then brutally crushed, strangled, and ultimately swallowed.

The python is native to a large variation of tropic and subtropic areas in South and Southeast Asia. This kind of snake is often found near water and is can be considered semi-aquatic. They can also be found in trees.

In another incident, Amanda Black, the owner of a thirteen-foot-long reticulated python, lost her life when her neck was crushed by her own pet who she aptly named 'Diablo'. She was administering medicine to her pet snake through a syringe when it attacked her.

A similar incident recently occurred in which a woman, who has long been reported missing, was found inside the belly of a huge snake.
