We all know that snakes are one of the deadliest creatures out there. It can swallow creatures larger than its size and even humans too. 

It has been reported by the University of Florida-Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation that death from snake bite is not one of the major causes of death in United States.

It ranks below lung cancer, vehicular accidents, lighting strikes, stings from hornets and bees, dog bites and attacks, and even spider bites.  

Macroevolution reported that most snakes eat rodents or birds after injecting them with their venom or squeezing them to death by constriction. 

They are considered as carnivorous animals--meaning, they only eat meat. Apart from that, snakes also eat eggs. 

However, there are also types of snakes that are non-constricting and non-venomous. They can easily swallow rodents and other small animals like insects. 

Facebook fan page ‘The Messenger’ released a horrifying video that featured a snake swallowing a piglet whole. 

It has already garnered 1.7 million views as of this writing and about 26 thousand likes. 

The footage is 31 seconds long but it is enough to shock and scare the netizens. Here are few of their comments:

Kevin Ray Ignacio: “Phyton eating a live piglet only happens in captivity, not in this case. You could have fed it atleast with raw meat or slaughter it first in a quick way instead of making the poor pig suffer the pain of it's bone being crushed while it's still breathing and being eaten alive.” 

Jay-r Dalida: “Err, I don't know. This is how nature should be. There's this thing that we call food chain.”
