Automated Teller Machines (ATM) offer convenience and efficiency to bank cardholders. Because they are accessible anywhere and anytime, these machines provide good quality service for its customers. It is no wonder many people are choosing to withdraw their cash through these machines instead of waiting in long queue inside the banks.

However, this is not what a netizen experienced when he withdrew some cash in a certain bank's ATM machine. Apparently, he expected the machine to dispense thousands in cash but all he got is a torn Php 100-bill.

Dan De Guzman could not hide his disappointment in his Facebook post when he shared his experience with an ATM.

According to Dan, he tried to withdraw Php5,000 from a BPI (Bank of the Philippine Islands) ATM machine in Uptown Mall, BGC Taguig. He expected the machine to release his cash but he was shocked when it released a part of a torn Php 100-bill! The ATM did not release his cash and did not release a receipt. He then claimed that he tried to call BPI customer's hotline but no one answered him after an hour of reaching out to them.

Dan's post garnered attention from the online community as it seemed to be a public warning for all ATM cardholders. Netizens expressed their disappointment in his post's comment section as well. Concerned online users advised possible actions regarding the incident.
