What's the most Australian thing a young Aussie teen can do?

Casually wrangle a snake from 'down under' the family car with bare hands and be done just in time for school.

And that's exactly what 14-year-old Oli Wardrope from of Seventeen Seventy in Queensland, Australia did in this video.

The 2-meter carpet python is not venomous, but any parent will be alarmed seeing their teen doing the same feat. So where were his parents?

They were watching the entire thing. And they were taking a video, too.

The boy's father, who's online name is 'Chazza', can be heard saying that little Oli has been wrangling snakes since he was 5. 

Far from being worried, Mom and Dad sound quite proud of their son.

Australia, known for its diverse wildlife, has had its share of online fame for its scary, bizaare, and downright funny encounters between man and beast.

As animals often encroach upon people's homes, and vice versa, encounters like that of Oli's are quite common. So it's very likely that other teens also do this as part of their daily routine.

But that doesn't take away one bit from the awesomeness of this brave kid.
