[Trending Now] Onyok Pineda Tears Up After Hearing Coco Martin's Message for Him

Onyok Pineda, the child actor who gained fame for his role in 'FPJ's Ang Probinsyano' made a guest appearance on the latest episode of the hit morning show 'Magandang Buhay' from the Kapamilya network. The episode was aired on Monday, February 27, 2017. 

During one segment, the show's hosts told the child actor that they have a special video message for him from his 'Ang Probinsyano' co-star and mentor, Coco Martin. 

The two first met when Onyok, whose full name is Simon Ezekiel Pineda, auditioned for the role of Coco Martin's adopted son in the hit primetime teleserye. 

The respected actor recounted his first meeting with the child at the start of his message:

"Si Onyok kasi,  ang nakikita ko sa kanya, paglaki niyan, magiging aktor talaga 'yan eh. Kasi dati talaga nung nakuha namin siya, 4 yrs old pa lang siya no'n. And then, ayun, nung nag audtition siya sa 'min para bilang maging anak ko, hindi namin siya napili. And then nung palabas siya ng pinto sinabi niya lang sa'min na, 'kunin niyo 'ko ha.'"

Coco admitted in his video message that something about the child's confident demeanor caught his attention right away. 

Despite not being the first choice for the role, Onyok eventually got the important supporting role in the hit teleserye. 

And according to Coco, they did not have a hard time teaching the child about acting and how the whole filming process works. 

Coco had the following to say about working with the child actor:

"After one year, ngayon, si Onyok talaga ay napaka galing na, na hindi ko na tinututuruan. Actually siya na nga nagtuturo sa mga ibang ano eh... Kahit yung mga (para sa) direktor, alam niya na ang close-up, alam niya na ang wide - lahat. Marunong na sa lente 'yan at lahat."

Coco then said the following about Onyok: 

"Napaka talented, and then, sabi ko nga eh, sabi ko, pag laki nitong batang 'to, talagang may patutunguhan."

He ended his special message for Onyok with the following:

"Sana bukod rin dito sa talento na natutunan niya, na napakagaling niya talaga umarte, sana matapos niya yung pag-aaral niya." 

"Sobrang talino ng bata.Talagang ano 'yan, may medal lagi 'yan"

Based on the video by ABS-CBN, it was pretty obvious that Onyok got emotional upon hearing what his co-star had to say about him.
