[Trending Now] 'My Dear Heart' Vs 'Destined to Be Yours': Who Won the Viewers Nation-wide? Find Out Here!

On February 27, Monday night, the first teleserye of the phenomenal loveteam AlDub aired its pilot episode. Given their overwhelming success on the noontime show Eat Bulaga, the GMA network certainly has high expectations for the loveteam.

However, although the loveteam's primetime debut became a trending topic online, datas show that the TV ratings of 'Destined To Be Yours' was not enough to beat its timeslot rival 'My Dear Heart'.

Market Research Firms AGB Nielsen and Kantar Media released datas showing the TV ratings of both shows on Monday night. Although AGB Nielsen showed a 2.9% advantage for 'Destined to be Yours' against 'My Dear Heart', Kantar Media's own ratings show a significant discrepancy, claiming that 'My Dear Heart' with an 8.9% wider margin.

'Destined To Be Yours' follows the story of architect Benjie, played by Alden Richards, and radio jock and environmental activist Sinag, played by Maine Mendoza. The romantic-comedy television series is directed by Irene Villamor.

On the other hand, 'My Dear Heart' carries a more serious theme. The fantasy-drama television series directed by Jerome Pobocan and Jojo Saguin follows the story of the successful but cruel and egoistic heart surgeon Dr. Margaret Divinagracia, played by Coney Reyes, her lost granddaughter Heart de Jesus (Nayomi Ramos), and her foster parents Jude (Zanjoe Marudo) and Clara (Bela Padilla).
