What happens when a guy in a wheelchair approaches you? Do you feel inclined to talk to him? That’s the polite thing to do, especially with someone who has a condition.

But what if the guy was actually pranking you, or in clearer terms, was conducting a so-called “social experiment?”

Social experiments refer to a research project which is conducted using actual human beings in a real-world setting.

It usually investigates the effects of a policy intervention by randomly assigning individuals, families, businesses, classrooms, or other units to different treatments or to a controlled condition that represents the status quo.

Social experiments are often referred to as the "gold standard” in program evaluation and reform processes. Some of the most notable social experiments include the Stanford prison experiment, where a study was conducted on the psychological effects of becoming a prisoner and a prison guard.

This particular "social experiment" was uploaded on Youtube.

In footage released by 'YesLaughYes', a guy in a wheelchair was asking women out. He introduced himself as a “gold digger” and then struck a conversation with a woman by a fountain.

Check out the “social experiment” below:

What do you think? If you were in the woman’s position, what would you have done? Tell us in the comments section below!
