[Trending Now] VP Leni On Mocha Uson Appointment To MTRCB: 'No comment'

Unshaken, Vice President Leni Robredo has stood her ground in the recent months after the election which appointed her to Office. 

In a move to stay neutral, VP Leni has also stayed quiet on the selection of Mocha Uson to the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

VP Leni said in a press conference in Iloilo City that “I avoid making comments on Mocha Uson because I’m her favorite character”. 

“My biases might show,” she added last Saturday.

Mocha Uson is a former daring female star and performer known for her various stints in many men’s magazines and acts with her group, Mocha Girls. 

She is also the head admin of the Facebook page Mocha Uson Blog, a pro-Duterte like page. She is also a self-professed Die-hard Duterte Supporter.

“The President has the right to choose who he wants for the post. But on the appointment of Mocha, I will not comment on that,” Robredo said. 

Mocha’s Facebook page is critical of VP Leni and it has provoked reactions for calling her unproductive and a crony of the Liberal Party. 

Most of these allegations were all just shrugged off by the lawyer and wife of the deceased former DILG secretary Jessy Robredo. 

The sudden appointment of Uson, an outspoken supporter of Duterte, to the MTRCB has garnered mixed reactions from netizens. Many questioned the qualifications needed for the post, while others believe she is capable of making judgment calls as to which parts of movies and television shows should be censored.
