Actor Sir Ian Mckellen shared his beliefs on gay rights activism and friendship with Sir Patrick Steward with Owen Jones in an interview. Sir Mckellen appeared as Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings and as Magneto in the X-Men series.

A controversial photo of Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart  kissing has recently gone viral, a photo that shocked al lot of their fans.

Sir Ian Mckellen denied the allegations that he is a gay but he does support the rights of the LGBT community. He said that there's nothing wrong being a gay. "No one regrets being honest about sexuality," he said.

He even shared his good friendship with Sir Patrick Steward. The two were considered best friends and even became more famous for their bromance when their pictures went trending worldwide. But it was revealed that Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart just shared a kiss for the sake of media men and it was only intended as a greeting at the Mr. Holmes premiere.
