[Trending Now] Kris Aquino Defends President Duterte From Critics

The former presidential sister Kris Aquino defended President Rodrigo Duterte from the never-ending criticism of his detractors, also saying that she supports the new administration and that she hopes that they become successful.

Kris said, “Number one, I resent calling anyone 'tards. kasi I have a special child, so I'm sensitive to that, even if it's a term that is being used widely.” 

She admitted that they have had a few missteps which are bound to happen to anyone, and she also said that she is willing to support the President even if he makes mistakes in leading the country.

“If my brother is respectful enough to want to give this administration a chance to succeed, why won't I do the same?” Kris told the media.

President Duterte is the recipient of a constant bombardment of criticism from both local and international communities and citizens for his aggressive style of  dealing with matters and his cursing to prominent world leaders and human rights advocates who have expressed concern over the extrajudicial killings in the country when he took over. 

The actress recently made headlines when there were reports of the alleged multi-million peso deal with GMA Network after she decided not to renew her contract with ABS-CBN. She also recently expressed some of her regrets over leaving behind the Kapamilya network.
