A new CNN/ORC poll has Obama’s approval rating at 55 percent, matching the high points of his second term. A Gallup poll conducted over roughly the same time period puts Obama’s approval rating nearly as high, at 54 percent. On average, Obama’s approval rating remains in the green, at 51 percent across all recent polls.
Obama’s rising poll numbers, up 10 points from a year ago, are primarily due to a boost from Democrats and independents. Democrats give the president an 89 percent approval rating, while 56 percent of independents (click on the title to see the full article)
A 44-year-old British man is the first of 50 people to complete a trial of a treatment which scientists say eradicates HIV cells in the entire body––including dormant cells which evade current HIV treatments.
