[Trending Now] Netizens Lashed Out The Witness Who Claims That Duterte Ordered To Kill De Lima!

Senate Witness Edgar Mabato claims to worked as an assassin for former Davao City mayor and now President Rodrigo Duterte ordered him to kill then the human rights chairperson and now Senator Leila de Lima.

Way back 2009, De Lima seated as the human rights chairperson visits an alleged dumping ground for victims of the infamous Davao Death Squad in Ma-a, Davao City.

Matobato said that he was given the task to shoot down the former Justice Secretary but the plan to kill De Lima did not push through since De Lima haven't reached a certain part of the hilly site that Duterte is protecting. 

De Lima responded and said, “Hindi kami nakapunta sa taas. That property is a hilly property. Hindi na kami umabot sa taas na nandoon kamo kayo."

De Lima is known as a staunch critic of President Duterte’s bloody war on drugs, had butted heads with the long-time Davao City mayor several times in the past.

As a human rights chairperson way back then, De Lima launched a probe into the Davao Death Squad which was allegedly said to be killer men of Dutertes.  As justice secretary, she also tried to investigate a case involving the DDS but it was eventually dropped due to lack of witness.
