The Duterte administration has been taking a lot of fire from a lot of angles lately.
The never-ending criticism from the media is something that they have been handling quiet well.
Recently, netizens spoke took their thoughts into the internet, as ABS-CBN seemed to be continuing its anti-Duterte efforts by throwing remarks that seem to be off-putting or bashful.
A recent article by Doris Bigornia was posted in the news network’s website with the title “No Duterte-Obama handshake at East-Asia Summit”, stating that the US President had better things to do other than shaking hands with the Philippine President.
This was speculated after Duterte went on his usual ways and continued his tough talk against the US government and their President.
What angered the citizens of the internet was that there were reports that Duterte did shake hands with the US president, and this came from the US President himself.
Obama said in a video of press conference that “I did shake hands with President Duterte last night. It was not a long interaction.
And what I indicated to hi, is that my team should be meeting with his and determine how we can move on forward on a whole range of issues”.
Netizens were furious over the erroneous article, stating that ABS-CBN was being biased about the issue and
some even mentioned the fact that Gabby Lopez, the owner of the network, was an ally of the Liberal Party and the Aquino administration.
