Sen Leila De Lima walks out of the Senate Session Hall while Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano is giving his privilege speech saying she cannot withstand the allegations of the Senator.
Seconds after De Lima walked out of the session hall, she admitted that she cannot bear what the Senator is saying in his speech. When asked why she walked out of the hearing, she answered “I cannot stand it”.
Sen. De Lima said that instead of confronting Cayetano, she will just deliver her own privilege speech tomorrow. In addition, she was asked about her opinion about Cayetano’s accusations of her destroying the reputation of the nation.
De Lima seemed to be agitated of the question and answered with full conviction that it is not her who destroys the reputation of the country but the killings do.
“What is destroying the reputation of this country are the killings. It’s not me.” De Lima said.
Meanwhile, De Lima is said to deliver her own privilege speech tomorrow in continuation of hearing the extrajudicial cases filed against President Rodrigo Duterte.
