[Trending Now] MUST WATCH: CCTV Footage Revealed What Really Happened In The Bilibid Riot!

Prior to the incident that involved the death of high-profile inmate Tony Co, police investigators are already taking action on reviewing the closed-circuit television footage taken during the stabbing incident on Wednesday inside the national penitentiary's high-security building that left him dead and four others wounded.

In an interview with GMA News' Unang Balita, Bureau of Corrections' OIC Rolando Asuncion said that the investigators from the Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) informed him right before dawn of Thursday that the said CCTV footage is being reviewed.

"Nakausap ko ang team leader ng CIDG na nag-imbestiga sa footage ... tumawag siya sa akin nitong madagaling-araw at sinabing tinitingnan na nila ...," Asuncion told GMA News in the early-morning interview.

There are initial investigations on the incident that showed a confusing number of different versions by supposed witnesses to the "riot" inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP)-Building 14. 

Asuncion expressed his confidence upon the CIDG's review of the footage to shed light on what really happened on the incident.
