[Todays Viral] The Court of Appeals will arrest Willie Revillame for child abuse? Must read!

The Court of Appeals (CA) claims that the decision of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court (QC-RTC) has a basis over the child abuse case against TV host Willie Revillame. In a three pages resolution, with a date of April 11, the 13th Division of CA denied the motion for reconsideration made by the lawyers of Willie. 

They did this so that the TV host will not be arrested and his case of child abuse will be gone. It can be remembered that this case was filed by the social workers against him. This started when Willie let a 6-year-old boy to dance something inappropriate in his TV5 show "Willing-Willie" last March 12, 2011.

Justice Ma. Luisa Quijano-Padilla also states: “We have carefully reviewed our decision vis-a-vis the motion for reconsideration and we have found that the issues raised in the present motion and the arguments advanced in support thereof are a mere rehash of those already considered and passed upon, and no new issue or substantial argument has been presented to justify the reversal or modification of the assailed decision.”

Last October 4, 2013, there was a warrant of arrest for Willie by the QC-RTC Judge Roberto Buenaventura but the Wowowin host was balied out immediately. Moreover, CA stressed out: “As there is probable cause for the petitioner’s commission of a crime, his arrest and arraignment should now ensue so that this case may properly proceed to trial, where the merits of both parties’ evidence and allegations may be weighed.”
