A protagonist is almost always a middle-aged man who saves a young woman he’s romantically involved with, even when she’s perfectly capable of saving herself. Tumblr users who are way too familiar with this cliche decided to spice things up and write their own movie plot. However, their plot has an excellent twist – reverse gender roles.
