The video was shared on Facebook by Razelvien Garcia Cruz, who filmed the statue of Jesus in Plaridel, Bulacan. The statue belongs to a procession in a 'Karo', a tradition performed during Holy Week in Bulacan.

You can postpone any plans to call the Vatican — it's not anywhere near miraculous. It's actually animatronic, according to Ms. Cruz.

"Oo samin yan dumadaan palagi. Kaya dami dumadayo sa Plaridel eh. Gumagalaw yan, kulog at kidlat tas nagsasalita nung 7 last words, tas yuyuko. ?? Galing nga nung effects e, lahat din kase yan computerize. ??"

This explains the dramatic lights and sounds that made the whole thing theatrical.
