"It's Showtime" host and famous comedian Vice Ganda finally lets go of his grudge towards his father's killer.
In 1991, his father lost his life at the hands of a man who shot him while he was outside of their house. Even though there were witnesses to the crime, the killer was not caught.
Vice recalled that his father was a strict man, maybe because he was a former barangay captain. He disapproved of him being a gay man.
On an interview last year, Vice shared how he forgave the man who did the crime that left their family in deep grief. He learned that the killer is now in good condition and that he even wants to visit him someday.
"Kung nanonood siya ngayon gusto kong malaman mo na ang tagal na tagal na kitang napatawad. Baka mabigat pa ang kalooban mo lalong nagpapahina ito ng katawan mo ngayon. Gusto kong malaman mo na wala ka ng iisipin sa amin, sa buong pamilya namin, sa nanay ko, sa mga kapatid ko. Napatawad ka na namin, malayang malaya ka na sa galit mula sa pamilya namin," said Vice.
For so many years, Vice suppressed feelings of anger and loss but now he finally found forgiveness in his heart. He said that he is surrendering it to God.
