[Trending Now] Netizens Slammed This Man Who Pointed His Dirty Finger to the Statue of Virgin Mary!

Because of the rich culture there is in the Philippines, it is no wonder various religious beliefs are present in the society. These sacred beliefs clamor for respect and acceptance. 

One discourse that is prevalent in the context of Christianity is the presence of their sacred religious symbols which they praise and honor at all times. Devotees argue that these statues remind them of their faith towards their religion. Although not all people can easily understand the essence of these religious symbols, faithful devotees patiently ask for non-believers to respect their beliefs.

However, it is disappointing to think that there are people who cannot understand the presence of cultural and religious differences among the Filipinos. This photo below which was featured by Facebook page Talksh*t caught the attention of many netizens. It has sparked outrage from the online community as the photo showed a man standing in front of the holy statue of Virgin Mary. He can be seen pointing his middle finger in front of the Catholic symbol.

The netizens who saw the picture immediately expressed different reactions ranging from being angry to being sad. Most of them think that Catholics do not deserve such impoliteness. Some netizens expressed frustration for the man’s lack of understanding.
