[Trending Now] Netizens Outraged That This Pet Owner Would Leave His Poor Dog Inside a Cramped and Hot Bus Compartment! Horrible!

Netizens are crying foul over the actions of a bus passenger who left his dog in the hot and toxic baggage area of a bus on a 4-hour ride.

In a trending post by Facebook user Christian Matro, he describes how he and other concerned people noticed a dog that was left inside the bus compartment. 

Apparently, the pet was going to ride with the luggage of the other passengers while its owner sat comfortably inside the temperate bus.

Matro stressed how irresponsible the pet owner was – allowing the dog to endure a 4-hour ride from Olongapo to Pasay in a hot, cramped and dark place. 

He also mentioned the dangers of the toxic fumes the dog was sure to inhale during the trip.

The concerned citizen tried to tell the pet-owner that what he was doing was careless and negligent. His pleas were ignored. 

When the netizen called the attention of Saulog transit officials, they did nothing to help with the situation. They were only surprised that the dog wasn’t in a box – as if that was going to help ease the dog’s misery.

Soon the barkers provided a box for the little dog and shut the compartment doors closed.

Matro went further by reprimanding the parties involved for this potentially unsafe environment for the dog.

He told dog owners to be more responsible towards their pets – if a bus line won’t allow for pets to board then don’t bring pets with them.

The concerned netizen also asked bus companies to be clear with their rules concerning pet animals. He hoped that no other bus company would allow this cruel treatment of any animal – by placing them in a hot and dark compartment.

According to Matro, many others who witnessed the incident were greatly displeased at how the dog was treated.

Mir Anin wrote: “I brought a dog to baguio before. I can't remember which bus i rode. Ang rule lang nila is have the puppy/dog wear diaper. Kasi ayaw nila ilagay sa compartment. Hindi pwede daw. Saka naawa sila. Nakahiga sya sa box. Pero open air para lang may pwesto sya nun sa loob ng bus at katabi nya yung driver. Hindi natakpan o sinara yung box. Tulog sya buong byahe. Haha. Pero etong gumawa nito, walang puso. Nag aso ka pa. Masabi lang na may maganda kang aso? Pero hindi mo kaya alagaan? At sa [bus]?? na to, wala man lang kayo policy sa pagpapasakay ng pets sa bus?? Sa compartment talaga??”
