We’re not kidding. In this story, a Malaysian man from Kuching, Sarawak said that he will marry his 13-year-old girlfriend whom he got pregnant… yikes!

Oddly enough, this is timely for the country as Member of Parliament Datuk Shabudin Yahya voiced out his support in favor to child marriage earlier this April.

THIS. GUY.

“They reach puberty at the age of nine or 12 and at that time, the physical state of their body is already akin to those 18 years of age.”

I don’t know about you, but that is not something you want to hear coming out of a political figure.

“Perhaps through marriage they can lead a healthier, better life. And the person who was raped does not necessarily have a bleak future. She will have a husband, at least, and this could serve as a remedy to growing social problems,” 

…yup.

Back to the 13-year-old baby mama, her mom found out that her kid had been already pregnant for months. Filing the report, the 20-year-old man was eventually caught in Kenyalang.

In the investigation, he said that he is willing to marry the girl just to get away with statutory rape.

I’ve heard about How To Get Away With Murder but this is just… yikes.
