Whenever we see a luxury car driving along the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue--otherwise known as EDSA--we are bound to stop in our tracks and look in awe at the gorgeous automobile that prowls the polluted city.

It’s not every day that we see such a car on the road, anyway.

Car enthusiasts and casual car fans equally gawk and take out their mobile phones in order to capture the glorious sight in an otherwise mundane landscape filled with billboard ads and gray buildings.

This is what netizen Carla posted on her Twitter account under the handle @excarlabur.

When in Manila reported that the girl tweeted a photo of a Mitsubishi Eclipse painted in red with designs similar to those found on Lightning McQueen’s from the Pixar movie FranchiseCars.’

Her caption for the post was, “casually kachow-ing on EDSA“. The source cited that within 15 hours from her time of posting, her tweet has already garnered a thousand ‘likes’ and ‘retweets.’

Carla explained, “It was Thursday morning and I was on EDSA, on my way to Makati. I saw the car and almost shoved my mom aside to get the photo (she didn’t know who it was sadly, lol).”

The Mitsubishi Eclipse, as seen above, is a sport compact car that was produced by Mitsubishi between 1989 and 2011.

The Lightning McQueen Car appears to be a second generation model produced from 1994-1996.

It is officially marketed in North America, Oman, South Korea, the Philippines, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, and China.

Car Guide reported that its newest model was launched at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show early this March. It is called Eclipse Cross and is considered a crossover, along with the ASX and the Outlander models.

Wow! What do you think of this ride? Do you want to own a “Lightning McQueen” car as well?
