Unbeknownst to many, GMA's Kylie Padilla is related to ABS-CBN's 'Teen King' Daniel Padilla.
They're cousins! Kylie is Robin Padilla’s daughter. Robin's brother Rommel is Daniel Padilla’s father.
Despite their respective fame, Daniel gets more attention because of his loveteam with Kathryn Bernardo and his title as his generation's 'Teen King'.
Philippine Entertainment Portal revealed that, despite her cousin's fame, Kylie doesn’t let it get to her. She said that she has never experienced being starstruck with her cousin Daniel.
Kylie's statement came after a fan asked her a question in the Q&A video that she uploaded on YouTube on April 17.
The fan asked her what it was like to be Daniel's cousin.
Kylie answered, “I just see him as my cousin. It’s not really like, ‘Oh my God!’ I never get starstruck. It’s more like, ‘Yo, insan, long time no see. Hope you’re doing well.’”
She added, “I would like to see him in a not-showbiz setting. There’s always a showbiz setting, that’s kinda a tiring. When you see someone you haven’t seen in a while, and then there’s so many cameras, it gets kinda [vomiting sound]!”
Currently, Kylie's showbiz career is on hiatus because she is pregnant with Aljur Abrenica’s child. Despite the break, she still thanked her fans in the video for their continued support of her acting career.
She said, “You know how much love I have for you, guys. Thank you so much for not forgetting me even though I’ve been gone for a while. I just wanna say thank you. I never expected so much love from you guys.”
The actress continued, "And I want you guys to know I appreciate the appreciation you have for YbrAmihan.”
YbrAmihan is the moniker of Kylie’s loveteam with actor Ruru Madrid in ‘Encantandia.’
Ruru plays the role of Ybrahim while Kylie plays the role of Amihan.
