In Borja St. Brgy. Malaban, Binan Laguna, a concerned citizen found this old lady who was abandoned by her husband and children. Another concerned citizen reached out to the Facebook page All About the Philippines to help the old woman.
In her story, she said that when she tried to give her some water, the lady had a tight grip on the glass, indicating that she was really thirsty. She also mentioned that the clothes the old lady was wearing are really dirty already. The abandoned elderly was also blind. She is also living in a stinky house.
She added that the barangay officials knew about the old woman’s situation but do nothing about it. Regardless, she noted that the elder is fighting for her life because there is no electricity or even adequate water supply inside the house.

Sobrang nakakaawa. may lumapit po saakin para humingi ng tulong kung ano gagawin sa matandang eto. naawa daw sya kasi po nung pinigyan nya ng tubig halos ayaw ng bitawan ang baso. sobrang uhaw po ng matanda. yung damit nya po panay tae na. isa po syang bulag. maaayos ang pamilya nya pero inabandona. asan ang puso nyo. bkit nakaya nyong gawing sa magulang at asawa nyo to. sana mabigyan ng action to. wla man lng mag tau sa matanda. kaya po naicipan kung puntahan. hindi ko rin alam kung ano pwedeng mangyari sakin sa pangenge alam ko. concern lng po ako at yung lumapit sakin.
mayor, capitan, dswd ng binan. pansinin nyo naman po to. pumunta po aq sa brgy at ipinakita q yung video. alam npo pla nila to pero wla manlng ginagaw. for 1yr lumalaban ang matanda upang mabuhay. kahit isa syang bulag. sobrang payat na sya. sna po panagutin nyo po ang mga maykasalanan dto. itinatago nila sa isang bahay. naka sara lng. wlang kuryente. sobrang baho. nakaka baliktad sikmura. akala ata nung may ari hindi kayang sikmurain ang ganung kabaho. pumasok ako at biniluksan ko yung pinto. pag bukas ko bumungad agad ang katawan ng matanda”
