[Trending Now] GMA Actor-Singer Mikoy Morales Finally Admits That He's Been in a Relationship for Four Years!

Showbiz personalities have a hard time trying to keep their lives private and with the onslaught of social media nowadays, it’s especially difficult not to be judged with just a single post or a comment.  

Anything could be used against you and even an innocent exchange on Twitter could result in an all-out war or controversy.  

However, what if you’re keeping a relationship from the public?  

What would you do if you’re a celebrity and yet, have decided to keep your private life well private?  

This must be hard for GMA actor-singer Mikoy Morales, who had to keep his relationship with actress Thea Tolentino under the wraps for four years.  

According to Philippine Entertainment Portal, they grew close when they participated in the reality competition ‘Protégé: The Battle ForThe Big Artista Break’ in 2012.  

The source cited that it was actually Thea who initially admitted that she is in a four-year relationship with the actor.  

Mikoy said in an interview, “Hindi naman talaga namin itinatago ni Thea yung relasyon namin. It just so happened na noong maging kami, she was being built up na may love team noon, si Jeric Gonzales, kasi sila yung winners ng Protégé.”  

He relayed that they became a couple at Thea’s debut in August 2014. 

Mikoy continued, “Kami kasi ni Thea ang naging close talaga noong nasa Protégé house pa kami and nasasakyan namin ang ugali ng isa’t isa. Kaya noong magkaroon kami ng feeling for one another, yun na 'yon.”  

“Ayaw lang naming lagyan ng label ang relationship namin noon dahil iba ang pinatutunguhan ng career niya at iba rin ako. Baka hindi kami magtagal, kasi nga she’s being paired with other actors,” he said.  

“Pero, thank God, umabot din kami sa apat na taon. Proud ako to be in a relationship with her,” the actor finished.  

Although they were able to withstand four years of being together, he relayed that it wasn’t all smooth sailing, just like any other relationship.  

Mikoy admitted that he’s overly sensitive, while Thea has the tendency to get jealous or “selosa.”  

He said, “Kaya kapag napapanood ko si Thea sa Destined To Be Yours as Trish, especially yung mga selos na eksena, parang hindi na siya umaarte nun. May ganung personality si Thea in real life." 

"Kaya minsan biniro ko siya, ‘Uy, napanood ko yung isang scene mo. Parang nakita ko na yun. Hindi nga lang si Alden Richards ang kaharap mo!’”  

Mikoy revealed that despite these minor setbacks, they’re trying to be the best for each other and he’s lessening his tendency to become oversensitive.  

He said, “But now, mas open-minded na ako. Medyo nabawasan na ang pagiging sensitive ko. Para na rin iyon sa ikagaganda ng relasyon namin ni Thea.”
