A woman’s 18th birthday celebration is usually grand. From ballgowns to three-layered cakes to choosing the theme and venue, it is no simple task to accomplish the party details; thus, it takes others several months or even a year of preparation.

1. VENUE: Mall of Asia Arena.

Dian’s 18th birthday theme was ‘New York Fashion Week’ so they considered MOA Arena as their top choice because ‘venue met all the specifications needed for the stage and everything else’. Coming from a big family, she said that around a thousand attended her party.

In case you’re wondering why Dian’s famiy was able to hitch this venue and pull off such a party, it was mainly because of their family business-- producing concerts (note: he brought Kanye West here). Rental of the arena costs around P600,000 for four hours with air conditioning and an additional rate of P120,000 per excess hour.

2. CATERING.

Lavish events come with sumptuous food servings. In Dian’s debut party, each plated meal cost P1000.

“We are a big family and we all had guests to invite. Since it is the last debut for my immediate family, we wanted to reconnect with everyone,” she added.

3. GOWNS.

Albert Andrada (designer of Pia Wurtzbach’s gown) created her opening performance outfit and another one for the 18 roses dance. Dubai-based designer Ezra Santos (Heart Evangelista’s wedding gown creator) did her main gown. The cost of the gowns weren’t disclosed but the base price the full lace dresses, according to broadsheets in Dubai, is Dh 80,000 or PHP 1,078,246.

4. LED INVITES: PRINT DIVAS.

Classy LED invites of Dian cost P2500 per piece. It is noted that her family spent millions on the guests alone.

Excluding ex-deals, discounts, and other details, on a rough estimation of reaping 4.7 million pesos was spent on Dian’s 18th birthday celebration.

"It was very overwhelming but it is the debut we were all dreaming of. Words cannot suffice #DVSaDecadeAndEight. The debut exceeded all our expectations," Dian beamed.
