In Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, medical emergency response comes with a little bit of surprise.
Six-year-old girl Katon, the daughter of an ambulance driver and a nurse, is now being hailed as the "angel saving wounded souls" for helping her parents attend to patients on the field.
It started when she was just 2 years old when, out of the blue, she just decided she wanted to go around distributing food to flood victims with her parents.
Since then, the mini-medic tagged along in mom and dad's rescue trips, and even helped treat the wounded.
“She has completely taken to helping others ever since, she never complains,” Katon's father said.
And she knows what she's doing. Katon sat in several volunteer lectures and learned first aid treatment from her own father.
The little girl is not afraid of dead bodies or blood. And when she does show up in any emergency site, Katon lightens up the mood.
“Many people seem to quite like me, they take photos with me and give me money for snacks. I give them to the poor and the seniors,” said Katon.
“I’m not afraid of ghosts, we have never seen one either. And I’ve seen bodies from a young age and got used to them. Papa said we don’t need to be afraid because we are here for saving,” she added.
Netizens have started to take notice, and now little Katon is a big online star.
Looks like the desire to help others runs in this family.
