Last Saturday, Noven Belleza was hailed as the grand winner of the “Tawag ng Tanghalan” singing competition which has become a popular segment in ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime.”
His amazing medley of Air Supply songs garnered praise from the judges and Filipino audiences as the winning performance of the entire talent show.
Noven’s performance was so good that it caught the attention of Air Supply’s very own singer and guitarist Graham Russell. Graham, one-half of the soft rock duo from Australia, discovered the winning performance through the viral Youtube videos of Noven’s performance – and he called it ‘spectacular.’
The Negros Occidental farmer sung his version of the band’s hit songs like "The One That You Love" and "Now And Forever".
Graham sent an email to local concert organizer Danee Samonte, one of the producers of the recent Air Supply concert in the Philippines, asking if she could extend his congratulations towards Noven’s victory.
