While many travelers prefer to go to the white sand beaches of Bolinao and the famous Hundred Islands, many adventurers are heading to a soon-to-rise attraction in Burgos, Pangasinan. In Cabangoaon Beach lies a natural swimming pool which is formed when the waves hit the pool-like stone formation and fills it up with saltwater.

The locals dubbed the attraction as “Death Pool” because it is scary to jump in whenever the tides come in to fill it. The attraction, though, is safe and invites beachgoers to patronize this natural pool.

The attraction is not yet popular as Bolinao because it is in a more remote area. From Manila, it will take you up to 5 hours of travel to get to Burgos,  Pangasinan..

Nonetheless, the attraction already gathers great feedbacks from beachgoers:

“Not as popular as Patar Beach, but I think it is as beautiful. No big resorts/structures. Most of the places to stay at are made of bamboo/light materials which I think is very suitable for the beach. This beach is as simple as it gets.” –Kaye Marie, Dagupan

“It's not only the beach Cabongaoan has to offer but it has also lagoon, grotto and great landscape.” – Joe Mark R

“It's not the whitest sand, not the most crystal clear water. But it was serene and clean.” – Kurt Ervin C

This is truly an awesome and new tourist spot that will soon rise. There is no doubt that Philippines is still hiding many attractions that yet to be discovered. It’s more fun in the Philippines!
