There are different forms of discrimination present in society. While its forms vary, its victims are nonetheless the same - the marginalized and disenfranchised. Discrimination, by its very nature, can happen to anyone, anytime and anywhere.

Discrimination is a problem that society needs to solve. However, it is an issue that gets minimal attention. Unlike poverty, hunger or war, the effects of discrimination are seemingly minute by comparison. The effects of discrimination are often personal.

According to UK essays, discrimination occurs when a person is denied of his or her opportunities or equal rights just because that person does not meet society's arbitrary standards of gender, religion, race or skin color.

A discriminated person often suffers from anxiety, low self-esteem, and psychological problems. The pressure of not being able to meet the standards set by society is a heavy burden to bear.

In this 1-minute Youtube video, beyondblueofficial showed the different types of discrimination that can happen on a daily basis. These types of discrimination are deemed 'normal' as the perpetrator may not even be aware that they are committing it.

In the video, people were discriminated on based on their race. These indigenous Australians were subjected to discrimination. They were rejected by employers, some people also avoided sitting beside them and chose not to make eye contact with them.

The video shows how discrimination looks like from the eyes of the discriminated.
