[Trending Now] MUST WATCH! This Fil-Am Teenager Wows 'The Voice' Judges With Her Performance of Bruno Mars' Hit!

‘The Voice’ is back on in the US and its season premiere featured a Filipina-American teen who wowed everyone with her performance as she sang one of Bruno Mars’ hits, ‘Runaway Baby.’

The aforementioned contestant is named Anatalia Villaranda and, according to ABS-CBN News, she was born in California. She appeared in the show's blind auditions where she impressed the judges with her energetic performance.

Adam Levine, Maroon 5 vocalist and one of the judges, said: "I do believe you could win this entire thing."

Other ‘The Voice’ coaches such as Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and Alicia Keys all voted in favor of her by turning their chairs around. 

Alicia emotionally said: “This is more than just a voice. "This is an artist who is unafraid to express yourself. I would like you to look in your heart and see how important it is for you to be on my team."

The Fil-Am teen picked Alicia as her coach. Villaranda expressed how excited she was by posting her sentiments on Twitter. 

‘The Voice’ isn’t Villaranda’s first singing contest — she also auditioned for the last season of ‘American Idol’ where she landed in the top 50 spot. 

On February 2016, some fans of the show were curious as to what ethnicity Villaranda belonged to. She replied through her Twitter account: “My mom is from Bacolod and my dad is from Manila! Thanks for your support!" 

Villaranda is sixteen years old and resides in Temecula, California.
