[Trending Now] MUST WATCH: Brave Taxi Driver Jumped off a Bridge to Save an Infant After His Mother Threw Him into the Water

An unnamed taxi driver in China made headlines with his bravery after saving a drowning baby. The mother of the child threw him off a bridge in Ruzhou City in central China Henan Province, said reports.

The mother, who is said to be suffering from a mental illness, caught everyone by surprise after she walked up to the railing and threw the young child off the bridge into the Jing River. The mother then slowly walked away with a stoic expression while passersby were left stunned.

Many pedestrians were yelling for help when the brave taxi driver came to the scene. Reportedly, the man just happened to be driving across the bridge when the mother caught his attention before the huge incident transpired.

Although he saw nothing wrong with the incident at first, his gut feel told him otherwise. Fortunately, he listened to his gut feel and was quick on his feet to jump off the bridge.

The heroic man jumped off the bridge into the water to save the drowning baby with no hesitation. Upon saving the baby, he tied a rope around the child's torso, which the passersby used to hoist it back up to the bridge and into safety. People on the bridge slapped and the baby in an attempt to save it by getting the water out of its lungs. Although the child remained unconscious until the paramedics arrived, he later on woke up in the hospital.

The child is now in a stable condition.

As for his mother, the Ruzhou authorities are investigating if she can be held for criminal charges.
