Long commutes really push people to think of different ways to entertain themselves during those boring times in transit. This is why free wifi on certain modes of transportation is a godsend for those of us who get restless during long journeys. 

But what do you do if there isn't any free wifi on board in a train ride that lasts more than a day? 

Well, for a couple from China, bringing playing cards for a long trip was the answer. Sounds like a good idea, right?

But before you put your favorite set of playing cards in your travel bag for that trip you've been planning with friends, you might want to check out what happened after the couple that we mentioned earlier in this article decided to play cards to pass the time on a train. 

For their 28-hour train ride from Nanning to Qingdao, the middle-aged Chinese couple decided to try playing card games to help them forget about the boring journey. 

Everything turned out fine until the wife realised during one round that she was handed a really good set. Getting dealt with such a good set of cards apparently got her so excited that she began to laugh so hard. 

But the laughter shortly turned into confusion and then into unimaginable pain when she  realized that she couldn't seem to close her mouth anymore. 

Her husband immediately alerted authorities on the train after witnessing what happened to her. He told them they heard a faint pop before his wife realized that she couldn't close her mouth. 

According to sources, it took the medical team about two hours to put the woman's jaw back in place. 

So, if you ever decide to try bringing card games or boardgames along  for your next journey, try to remember to behave yourself.
