Just like any other mom, seeing her daughter grow up fast still makes Lucy Torres sentimental. With her only daughter Juliana who just turned 16 last 2016, the politician is already realizing how fast time flew.

Lucy remembers well the day she and her husband Richard Gomez brought their unica hija home, "tiny as a little kitten, swaddled in a yellow blanket embroidered with pretty flowers and a bonnet to match," described Lucy.

"Each night, you would want me to carry you forever and ever and although for the first few months I was this breastfeeding, sleepless, and tired mommy, it was the happiest kind of tired, and you would reward me daily anyway with a thousand little smiles, all of them imprinted in that part of my memories that is tender, and sweet," wrote Lucy for her daughter on her Instagram post.

" I would stare at you while you slept (something I still do to this day), my heart filled to overflowing with that pure kind of love every mother feels for her child. You are, in every way, a gift from above, our most wonderful answered prayer."

"Know that Daddy and I love you very much always, to the moon and back, and beyond."

Lucy has a sweet habit of posting cute and heart warming messages for her daughter. 

There was even a time when the 42-year-old mom shared one of her most precious memory of her daughter on her IG account. The proud mother posted a photo of her gift to Juliana when the young girl was still 4. Along with the gift, Lucy couldn't help but to reminisce.

"I gave this book to you when you were 4 years old, @gomezjuliana, back when I was your playmate on-call and you would say things like 'Mama, I wish we met already when you were little!'"

The sweet mom also has a message for Juliana on the first page of the book.

"To my beautiful Juliana.

There is never a day that you do not make my heart burst with joy.

Know that I will love you forever and ever and ever... Each day more than the one before that."

And while growing up cannot be helped, Lucy admits how challenging it is to raise a child. Especially with Juliana being a stunner, admirers and suitors are probably a constant worry for Lucy.

On the interview of Richard's wife with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Lucy was quick to say that her daughter is still not allowed to entertain suitors.

"No, no, no! She's too young. I know that, that time will eventually come, but not yet. She's only 16."

So what's Lucy's most important advice to Juliana?

"I always tell her to pray for the right man."
