A high school prom is supposed to be a fun celebration of teens growing out of their childish ways. Indeed, that’s the reason why the boys get suited up and girls strut around in flowing prom dresses.
It’s a party where you make lasting memories with the people you’ve been with throughout your teen years.
Like in teen movies, a prom could be the only chance you get to say what you’ve been meaning to tell your highschool crush for years.
Yet, the other side of prom night is the chance that you could be uncomfortably dateless.
People are dancing left and right, having a fun evening – while you’re sitting alone with your 5th cup of juice.
It happens to a lot of kids – either they don’t get asked or get rejected by the people they do ask.
A prom video, posted by Nate Justine Monsod Florendo and later shared by Filipino Vines, has gone viral with this dapper young gentleman dancing by himself.
The viral video features the visibly unhappy young teenager, identified as Raymond Albo, slow dancing by himself as couples surround him on the dance floor.
The song featured in the video was Daryl Ong’s hit “Stay.”

After the video trended, plenty of netizens voiced their sympathies and support over the lonely looking young man.
