In Taipei, Taiwan, a woman is waging war against the 'big C' in the most bittersweet fashion.

27-year-old Q May Chen thought she had beaten breast cancer four years ago. Her victory was short-lived, however, because, two years later, her doctor said her illness has returned. This time, her condition is sadly terminal.

The news would've broken even the strongest of wills but Chen refused to wallow in misery. Instead, she phoned a photographer, bought four gowns, scouted for a suitable location and did the one thing she had been longing to do all her life - to be in her very own wedding photoshoot.

According to her, each gown represented a side of her.

"The red is for personality, pink is sweet, white yarn is princess, and gauze is sexy," she said.

Without a boyfriend or a fiancé, she didn't bother getting some random guy to stand in and opted instead to do it solo.

"Time is very valuable, every moment can not be wasted. O do not have to wait; I can complete my own dream."

At a manor in Yangming Mountain, she lived out her dream. The result is as magical as she - or any other girl - would've probably imagined.
