[Trending Now] 'Sinumpa ko yan, eh'-- Vice Ganda on Firing Negi From GGV Because of Drug Use!

Despite being the joker that he is, Vice Ganda is known to have a big heart when it comes to his friends. He might be under fire everytime he's in a relationship, but it is no secret that he would always have the company and comfort of his loyal friends. 

He started off as a stand-up comedian and was doing few guestings on TV here and there. But his career skyrocketed when he became the host of ABS-CBN's noontime show "It's Showtime". He started gaining fans, and went popular. He became one of the most sought-after comedians of today and even had concerts and TV shows of his own. Despite these, he didn't forget to give back. He started helping other comedians who were also struggling and gave them appearances on his shows. 

One of them is Negi, or Uldario Molina Jr. in real life. He became a regular in ABS-CBN late night Sunday show "Gandang Gabi Vice". He undeniably made the show more fun as he became the subject of pranks in the show. However, last year, he suddenly opted to be out of the show saying that he wanted to give chance to other comedians like himself. 

But recently, Vice Ganda revealed the real reason behind Negi's disappearance in the show.  In Magandang Buhay, Vice gave a disclaimer that he asked for Negi's permission before sharing the story to the public. According to him, Negi was under the influence of illegal drugs, which gave him no choice but to fire him from the show.

He admitted that "sinumpa ko yan, eh” during that time but it was only because he tends to be "pakialamero" to his dear friends. 

“Kasi ito nung rumaraket na nakikita ko, ay kumekeri na si Negi, ang saya ko na dami na guesting, ang lakas ng raket, eh nabalitaan ko... Nabalitaan ko may mga kaibigan siyang masasama tapos nagbibisyo-bisyo, sabi ko talaga sa kanya, pag nalaman ko pang nagbibisyo ka, tatanggalin kita dito sa GGV, papatanggal kita sa comedy bar, kakausapin ko lahat ng shows walang tatanggap sayo’ng trabaho," he shared. 

“Hindi ka magkakaroon ng raket, mamamatay ka sa paghihirap, sabi kong ganon," he continued.  But Negi didn't listen to him and continued with his vices. So Vice didn't hesitate and fired him at once. But little did Negi know, Vice was constantly checking on him. And thankfully, Negi turned over a new leaf. 

“Tinatanong ko, o kamusta na, ano’ng nagaganap kay bakla. Tapos si bakla nagbago. Yung natakot na sabi ko hangga’t hindi mo natututunan pahalagahan ‘tong binibigay sa’yong chance, hindi kita tutulungan ulit."

“Si bakla nagbago, umayos yung buhay, umayos yung bahay, yung pamilya, kaya sabi ko, o ibalik na natin si Negi sa GGV. Magmula nun, sunod-sunod ang swerte sa’yo [Negi] kahit di ko na siya tinutulungan, mismong siya lumalapit sa kanya ang trabaho. Kahit nga hindi ko na ‘to alalayan kaya na niya, eh,” he shared. 

“Ang bongga-bongga na ni Negi kaya proud ako diyan at saka nakakaipon na siya," he added.

Negi on the other hand will forever be grateful for Vice Ganda's concern over him and said:

“Ang daming mga katulad namin na stand-up comedian na gustong sumikat, ikaw nandyan ka napahalagahan mo. Tumanim sa isip ko yun na, o nakainom ka na ng isang basong tubig baka malunod ka, lahat ng mga bagay na nakukuha mo ngayon pahalagahan mo kasi minsan lang darating ‘yan,”
