It has been a while since Filipino fans saw Kapamilya Denise Laurel on prime time. But now, the 29-year-old actress is back and ready for for another shot.
Along with her comeback are questions as to what happened with her failed relationship.
During a press conference of her upcoming soap, “The Better Half”, media men asked Denise about finding her ‘better half’. She responded by saying that she is currently overwhelmed with the workload, something she did on purpose so that she can take her mind away from her personal life.
“Actually, ayoko rin ma-focus sa personal life ko right now so I’m really drowning myself in this and trying to break ‘yung manhid na nararamdaman ko kasi ‘pag actress tayo, kailangan you have to have your emotions with you,” Denise said in response, clearly fending off any distraction that may be brought about by her breakup with ex-fiance, PBA cager Sol Mercado.
The two broke up last September 2016 after being engaged for 3 years, with Denise tight-lipped as to what caused the breakup. However, she made it clear that it was not because they got tired of each other, and that they are trying to be at peace with each other.
